Yakoumis Yakoumidis was born in Istanbul and moved to Athens in 1983. In 1987, he graduated from the Athens Technical College of Physical Therapy. He then pursued graduate studies in manual therapy (Kaltenborn Concept) and specialized in musculoskeletal physical therapy. As part of the ongoing evolution of physical therapy, he continuously updates his skills by attending numerous seminars and training programs such as: Mulligan Manual Therapy, McKenzie Manual Therapy, Mezieres Method, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Trigger Point Myofascial Release, Kinesiotaping, Dry Needling, Schroth Method, and Ackermann Method.
Before opening his first physical therapy center in Alimos in 1992, he served as the exclusive physical therapist for Greece’s national aquatic sports teams from 1987 to 1992. In 2015, he opened a second physical therapy center in Glyfada.
In recent years, he has focused primarily on road and trail running, having participated in several marathons both in Greece and abroad.
